Hot sweaty nights, thick sticky air, and all other unbearable conditions of this summer will be long gone in just a few weeks. Yes, people, fall is rolling in. Not only am I over summer weather, but I am more than ready to unleash all my fall must-haves: light sweaters, blazers, scarves, tights and boots. Autumn over the years has become my favorite season for many reasons. How can you resist the classic blend of this summer's uncomfortable high temperatures, mixed with last year's depressing winter? With a change of season approaching, why not revamp your style? Let your style be a direct reflection of your personality. I always say, "How you present yourself is a direct reflection of how you want to be perceived."

Every year, fashion back-steps into popular trends of the 1900's. This year, the 50's are back! Popular lines such as Old Navy, Banana Republic, and H&M are featuring ultra feminine knee length A-line skirts, lace everything, and neutral colors. Ladies, if you enjoy dressing up, this is your season! If you are not sure what 50's style is, think Dita Von Teese and pinup girls. Women of the 50's mastered the art of exuding sensuality with fitted clothing that contoured every curve but left much to the imagination. So while layering on the clothes this season, do not be afraid to flaunt your shape whether it's voluptuous, curvy, athletic, or slim.

Women this fall may be replacing jeans for a flirty skirt, but men are keeping it more natural than ever: more facial hair, longer tresses, and simple crisp clothing. Think Brad Pitt's and Maxwell's previous look. Personally, I think there is nothing more alluring than a man who allows a coarse, five o'clock shadow to grow in while somehow maintaining a clean look. Guys, if you're looking for a different style to try, military style is back in. Elle magazine states in its recent edition, "Embrace your inner drill-sergeant" this fall. If you're a business man try wearing a double-breasted suit jacket or blazer this fall. If you're more of a casual guy try a jacket with several nautical buttons and without lapels. If you fall somewhere in between, let go of the skinny jeans and try a casual fit instead, paired with a brass button cotton jacket.

If you're a simple college student whose primary goal is getting to classes on time, try ditching the sweatpants and athletic wear and embracing your stylish side for the day. Guys, when reaching for the sweatpants and hoodies this fall, why not replace it with casual fitted jeans, simple shirt, and a military-inspired jacket. Ladies, embrace your 50's feminine flair and flaunt a skirt or formfitting dress. Let your exterior smile for you and I guarantee it will make a difference.
