It was a rough week for Rams women's soccer fans as the team came up short in the final stretch of the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Rams fell to both Pitt Johnstown and Alderson-Broaddus.

Despite the losses the Rams put forth some valiant effort. Hosting Pitt Johnstown the Rams led in shots 13-8 and sophomore goalkeeper Tessa Jones had five saves to Pitt's four. The Rams played a tough defensive game and kept the score at 0-0 for most of the match but ultimately fell to a late goal by Pitt in the 75th minute.

Coming off the loss to Pitt the Rams hoped to finish their season on a higher note but couldn't topple Alderson-Broaddus. The Rams faced a tough offensive opponent into A-B who was constantly on the attack with 21 shots, 14 of which were on target. Once again Tessa Jones performed admirably saving 10 of those shots but she couldn't stop A-B's persistent efforts.

The Rams did manage to come back from A-B's 1-0 lead after the 1st half with an early second half goal by junior forward Brianna Hines who scored unassisted in the 59th minute. A-B followed quickly however, widening the gap to 2-1 just 10 minutes later and ultimately putting two more in the goal, rounding out the final score to 4-1, A-B.

The Rams complete their season with a record of 3-13-0 and 1-8-0 in the WVIAC. Rams soccer fans can still catch the men's team returning to action on Thursday as the host a semi-final round of the WVIAC against an undetermined opponent.
